San Luis

Between the Virreinato del Río and Santiago de Chile, San Luis was a compulsory stop during colonial times and was named in honor of St. Louis, King of France.
Today it has a colonial appearance, period houses and spacious residences and is in constant growth and progress.
Some places to visit are the Parque de las Naciones, Parque Centenario and the Cathedral.

What to see:
Around the Plaza Pringles, in the heart of the city, lies the old town of San Luis. The pedestrian Via Rivadavia, Plaza Independencia and the Cultural Center “Puente Blanco” are part of the traditional circuit.
Casco Histórico: The Main Square, named Juan Pascual Pringles is the starting point to visit San Luis historical. From there can be observed the Colegio Nacional, cultural heritage site for its “Art Nouveau” buildings. Also off the main square, stands the Cathedral built on a neoclassical architectural with friezes relating the life of St. Louis King of France.
Ciudad Urbana: Within city noises and the financial area lies the Plaza Independencia, former San Luis main plaza.

The White Desert: 35 km from the city, is the salt desert, dazzling, beautiful and peaceful. The vastness of the salt forms a spectacle by itself.
El Señor de la Quebrada: In La Quebrada, 40 kilometers from San Luis, is the image of a Christ that was found inside a carob tree and led a chopper to build a chapel. Here was constructed a town that gathers thousands of visitors to pray or simply visit.
Termas de Balde: A half-hour drive will get you to the spa. The healing virtues of the waters attract visitors seeking relief from physical problems such as rheumatism, diabetes or skin problems, as well as those who simply want to enjoy natural relaxation.
Potrero de los Funes: 20 km from the city, rivers, waterfalls and streams can be crossed hiking, horseback riding or cycling. There also lies the Quebrada de los Condors and beautiful places such as Salto de la Moneda and Salto Arco Iris.
Dique La Florida: A water mirror within imposing hills allowing all kinds of water sports such as sailing, wakeboarding, water skiing, and more.

By plane or car via the route that goes to San Luis. 791 kilometers From Buenos Aires done through National Route No. 7.

Bus:
You can reach the capital of the Province of San Luis In About ten hours, about 800 km on paved road.
