Tafí del valle

Tafí del Valle, in aymará it means “place where is cold” and this is because of the characteristics of the temperate climate in the Sierras del Aconquija. The town lies on the Valle del Tafí and hence its name.
In this place crafts are produced with the national stone that the indigenous used and that nowadays is called rhodochrosite or also known as inca’s rose.
The postcard like beauty of the place is an invitation to organize cavalcades, long walks, outings to the mountains, to practice adventure activities like parapenting, mountain bike or enduro.
You can also simply enjoy the peace of the heights and share a place like no other in the whole world. There is archeological variety, living museums, craft shops and in addition you can savor the exquisite gastronomy of the northwestern argentine.
