Recoleta Hostel Buenos Aires
Recoleta neighbourhood is one of the wealthiest and glamorous of the city. In its cosy buildings lives the high Argentinian society. A simple walk along its distinguished streets and avenues are enough to realise that: here are the most famous brands and designers shops, no price window shops and important jewelries. Plaza Francia, Cemetery Recoleta, Museo de Bellas Artes, Avenida Alvear, Basilica Nuestra Señora del Pila, and the gastronomy circuit are all part of this elegant neighbourhood identity. Recoleta Hostel is located on Libertad Street, one block from Avenida 9 de Julio and a few more from Sante Fé which makes it an ideal lodging place in the area. The hostel is in a building that was home to the famous writer Jorge Luis Borges where he used to give lectures.
The Recoleta Hostel has double rooms all dormitories over three floors. Bathrooms are shared, one for two rooms, which leaves a decent number of bathrooms always available. The hostel has a real privileged location.
On the Libertador Avenue, the Museos de Bellas Artes is one of the main museums in South America. It has Van Gogh, Tintoretto, Goya, Picasso, Le Greco, Rodin, Rembrandt and Prilidiano Pueyrredon works to name but a few of its treasures. The Recoleta Cemetery gathers writers artists and scientific graves, and on the Quintana Avenue is the bar where everyone wants to sit and watch passersby. Other icons in the neighbourhood are the National Library and the University of Buenos Aires Faculty of Law.
