Backpackers Soul Hostel
The Salta Backpacker´s Soul Hostel is located in the center of the city of Salta, a few blocks from the 9 de Julio Square, the San Martin Park and the bus terminal, in a building once used as a hotel.
This hostel, HiQ certified –Hostelling International process quality program-, has mainly double rooms with a private bathroom. Although it has the usual relaxed, casual and fun atmosphere characteristic of Hostelling International hostels in Argentina, the Salta Backpacker´s Soul Hostel is more oriented to couples and travelers looking for a quiet place. This Salta hostel is three blocks from the Home Hostel, where asados, parties and folk music nights are organized, to which guests staying at the Soul Hostel are also welcomed.
A visit to the city of Salta should include the old area, with buildings such as the Cabildo, the Catedral, San Francisco church and the San Bernardo Convent. One of the best views of the city can be seen from the San Bernardo Hill, which can be accessed by cable car, by car, or on foot. You can ask for guidance in the hostel to visit more distant places like San Lorenzo or La Caldera, as well as to go on excursions to the rest of the province and region.
How to arrive to the Hostel
From the bus station in Salta - Free Transfer
In the terminal you will find the staff of the hostel (bring a shirt with the logo of Hostelling International and Salta Backpackers). Otherwise, you can take a taxi and upon arrival you should report to the hostel receptionist to pay the trip.
From Salta Airport (this transfer is not free)
You can take a taxi directly to the hostel. A cheaper option is to take the bus that leaves you on the main square 5 blocks from the hostel.
