Hebe's House (La cabaña de Hebe)
Caviahue is a mountain town surrounded by thousand-year-old pehuenes and is located within the Copahue – Caviahue Provincial Park, that protects an amazing araucarias forest and houses the only active volcano in Argentina. It is located at the foot of the volcano and at the banks of the Caviahue Lake, that in Mapuche language means "Place of parties and meetings". To be able to see the reflection of the snowed mountains on the lake is a stunning spectacle and impossible to forget. La Cabaña de Hebe is located 150mts from the lake and 1.5km from the base of the ski resort. We can organize the most amusing snow activities such as a whole day of ski or snowboard, snowtrack tours, trekking with snow rackets, dogs drawn sledge, cross-country skiing pistes, Copahue Volcano climbing and thermal resort climbing that has been buried by 5 metres of snow, the only case in the country. La Cabaña de Hebe is the best place to start enjoying the charms of the only snow village in Argentina. |
